I am an Agnesian: blessed with talents and skills that I acquired from staying for 12 years in Saint Agnes’ Academy. Instilled in me are the teachings that developed my personality and interests that encouraged me to cling to a life of a true Christian. I believe that I have fulfilled my High School life properly.

Agnesians have respect, knowledge and most of all an infinite number of friends. I am proud to say that I have all these and because of that I am a true Agnesian for I am the promise.

OKAY.
August, Please be awesome. =)

Why are we awesome?

Neeeerds.

That is how some people describe our class. ‘HOMO’ is a word we every so often hear from our teachers and fellow students. But to be honest, I don’t know how to feel when they call us that. ‘Oh, is this not the Homo Class? ’ ‘Well, you’re all intelligent, I’m sure you can do that’ ‘Homo, be an example’ ‘I expect so much from this class’ ‘Sus. Homo naman kayo, kayang kaya niyo yan’ It is true. We are a homo class. Actually, the only one in our batch. With all the expectations we are assumed to meet and with all the high hopes for our class, frankly, I’m not sure If I want to be in a homo class. My friends in the other class even thought that we perfect every single examination that we take! Well, guess what? We don’t. We fail and It’s okay. We recite wrong answers but we move on. We are reprimanded for being loud, but we have fun! We dance randomly when no one is looking, we shout at the top of our lungs when we feel like it. And it’s okay. It’s okay not to be perfect, not to be always ‘homo’. Because at the end of the day, homo or not, we’re still there for each other, we help each other out, we don’t put competetion above friendship, and we never sell our friends. And If at first I wasn’t sure If I wanted to be homo, now, I’m sure; because I know that we’ve got each other’s backs and that makes everything else better, and everyone else AWESOME 8)

St. Gregory the Great Cathedral/July 23, 2011—CLEAN and...

St. Gregory the Great Cathedral/July 23, 2011—CLEAN and SPOTLESS!

Waking up very early on a Saturday is somewhat an extra baggage on the part of the students but to know that we, mere students can be of help to the community it brings smiles to our faces.

IV-St. Augustine and IV-St. Catherine were assigned to clean-up the vicinity and the interior of the cathedral. The seniors started to gather around 6 AM till 7:30 AM. Before the students can get into the heat of cleaning up rain started to pour down. Sir John Magdaong instructed the students to first clean the interior of the church. The tasks were divided among the seniors; some were assigned to clean the statues and some were assigned to clean the chairs. Yes, it was a tiring job and yet the students were not dispirited. After the clean-up inside the church they rushed outside and started picking up the leaves that were drench. Others started arranging the wooden tables on the side and others were removing the remaining trash. At last, the job was done. The students left the place clean and spotless. And without a doubt, satisfied.
